Kioku does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app works entirely offline.
Kioku does not collect any personal information. No analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting. The app does not require an internet connection and never communicates with any server.
All data is stored locally on your device:
Preferences — your selected JLPT level, word schedule, and language preference are saved to your device's local storage.
Vocabulary data — all Japanese vocabulary is bundled with the app. No data is downloaded from the internet.
Widget data — the Lock Screen widget reads vocabulary data from a shared app group container on your device. This data never leaves your device.
Kioku Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Hibana Studio does not have access to your payment information. Purchase management is handled through RevenueCat, which may process anonymized transaction data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
Kioku uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymized, non-personal data related to in-app purchases. No other third-party services are used.
Kioku does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
